Kim Freeman

Artist Kim Freeman has a studio based on the edge of Brixham, betwixt the sandy beaches of the coast and the rolling hills of the South Hams.

Kim takes inspiration for her work from patterns, shadows, colour-contrasts, reflections and wear & tear marks, all of which satisfy her love of colour and texture.

Kim employs a variety of materials to create her work, capturing images at various stages to produce final designs, which are visually intriguing, colourful and mostly abstract in style.  Kim also enjoys the challenge of working directly onto canvas melding her abstract style with realism.

Kim has exhibited in Torbay and the South Hams, most recently joining Artizan Gallery in Torquay and, as a member of Devon Artist Network takes part in Devon Open Studios.  Kim is also a member of Torbay Artist Network and Teignmouth Arts Action Group.

Kim enjoys giving encouragement and support to others, facilitating workshops at her studio where she guides participants through a creative and uninhibited approach to producing art.

Kim’s love of experimentation, exploration and the process of creating her art ensure that ideas and practical aspects are taken on a journey of discovery to a final presentation.
